The Full Story
Being a first-time entrepreneur is hard - really hard. I was struggling with a variety of issues before we launched Hanna Golf - mainly self-doubt and overwhelming stress. Right after we launched, I started working with Madeline. I wasn’t seeking a coach; it just happened. And it has been one of my best investments in the last six months. We have navigated my self-doubt, understood the why behind it, and started to build fantastic habits. I now better understand myself and the why behind many of my fears and stress. Madeline coached me out of some of the deepest valleys of my professional career - and I am super thankful for her. She is attentive and laid back but firm when she needs to be. Always follows up and checks in. And she is incredibly accessible. Grateful for Madeline’s support as I build my company.
— From Jared Doerfler, founder of Hanna Golf
Coaching is exactly what I thought it would be - and entirely different. It helped me to navigate career anxieties and hopes, but it wasn’t an answer. Coaching was a framework. It gave me trust in my own process, not the process handed to me by peers, parents nor institutions. I can now answer questions about how I spend my time personally, professionally, and creatively, and I can do so with grace and confidence.
Entering coaching, I would have considered it a disappointment to leave coaching without having achieved my wildest dreams. Well: that’s what happened, but I am now comfortable with it. My dreams have become more realistic to me, they have returned back to their original inspiration and are less motivated by fear of failure. I have faith, and that faith creates action.
Ultimately, whether I knew it or not, I began wanting to validate my fears. I leave coaching having not validated them, but chosen my aspirations instead. I didn’t know that mindset shift was out there. I certainly didn’t know I was capable of it.

Working with Madeline has been a transformative experience. Professionally, I was in a successful position at a firm where I felt valued, but I sensed something was missing. I had developed habits that were hindering further growth. One significant challenge was relying on fear as a motivator rather than excitement or pride, which led to me performing reliably but feeling like I was holding myself back. Additionally, I was overly focused on meeting external expectations instead of charting my own path. This mindset held me back from achieving my ambition of creating a truly differentiated, meaningful impact aligned with my interests and values.
Madeline has been instrumental in helping me navigate this transition. As I moved out of my previous role and explored what’s next, she worked closely with me to identify behavioral patterns—distinguishing between those that served me and those that didn’t. She encouraged me to experiment, holding me accountable for actions that align with the identity I’m striving to embody. A simple yet powerful strategy she uses is asking, “What would you usually do?” and then collaborating with me to brainstorm alternative approaches. This process has helped me step out of my comfort zone, build confidence, and expand my perspective on what’s possible.
What truly sets Madeline apart is her dedication to the craft of coaching. She actively listens and tailors her approach to each session, ensuring it’s personalized and impactful. Her commitment to continuous learning is evident—she frequently brings new techniques, theories, and examples into our work together. I have additionally loved her blog and it is clear she is weaving in learnings from these interviews into her coaching sessions.
Her organizational skills are exceptional; she meticulously keeps notes, is always prepared, and consistently arrives early to sessions. Beyond her professionalism, it’s clear that she genuinely cares. She has been responsive and understanding whenever I’ve needed guidance on specific decisions or challenges between sessions.
Working with Madeline has been an absolute pleasure and an invaluable part of this pivotal phase in my professional life.
